Purpose of Department

The aim of the Operating Room Services Program is to train qualified operating room technicians equipped with professional knowledge and skills who can effectively support the healthcare team before, during, and after surgical procedures performed in the operating room environment, in accordance with patient safety and sterility principles.


Target of Department
Our mission is to train operating room technicians who can work in a disciplined, attentive, responsible, team-oriented, quick and accurate decision-making environment, have a high awareness of sterility and patient safety, and possess professional competence.
 
Our vision is to train healthcare technicians who are competent in operating room practices, prioritize patient and employee safety, follow technological developments, and have strong practical skills, all guided by scientific, ethical, and professional values.
 
Our vision is to be a model Operating Room Services Program that offers education at national and international standards, stands out with its practice-oriented teaching approach, whose graduates are preferred in the healthcare sector, and which is based on quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this program can work in operating rooms and related units with the title of "Operating Room Technician". Graduates can continue their undergraduate education in their field through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS).


Departments Allowing Horizontal Transfer

According to the Higher Education Council's regulations on horizontal transfer, students can transfer to associate degree programs in the same or similar fields at higher education institutions that are compatible in terms of course content and learning outcomes.


Departments Allowing Vertical Transfer

Candidates who complete the Operating Room Services Program can transfer to Nursing, Health Management, and other related undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS), in accordance with the principles determined by the Higher Education Council.
