Dear student candidates,
 
The Food Quality Control and Analysis Program is in the Health Services Vocational School with its main staff consisting of 1 doctor lecturer and 2 lecturers under the Food Processing Department and other valuable teachers who teach in our program.
 
As the issue of food, which is always at the forefront in Turkey and in the world, is important for living things to survive, it is equally important that it is produced and presented to consumers in high quality and appropriate conditions. With the increasing population, the need for quality and safe food is constantly increasing. For this reason, there is a need for knowledgeable, competent, innovative and creative scientists dealing with food science and technology, adapted to technology. With the rapid progress of technology, adapting to change and development can only be achieved with a good team.
 
As Istanbul Gelişim University Food Quality Control and Analysis Program, our aim is to train "Food Quality Control and Analysis technicians" who have knowledge about all kinds of foodstuffs and all substances and materials that come into contact with them, and who can perform the necessary quality, control and analysis in food laboratories.
 
For this purpose, in our program, in addition to basic courses such as Meat and Meat Products, Milk and Dairy Products Technologies, Fruit and Vegetable Technology, courses such as Laboratory Techniques, Food Microbiology, Food Chemistry and Biochemistry, Food Processing Principles, Fermentation Technology, Instrumental Food Analysis are offered.
 
Our students who graduated from the Food Quality Control and Analysis Program, in order to ensure the food safety and quality of public and private institutions and organizations, by observing minimum technical and hygienic conditions in the production, processing and distribution stages, including the primary production stage of food and food contact materials and materials, they can carry out food inspection and control services. In addition, they may have the opportunity to work in laboratories related to microbiological analysis of foods in institutions and organizations in the public and private sector.
