Dear Students and Prospective Students,
Rapid advances in science and technology continue to increase the importance of laboratories across many fields, including healthcare, food, environment, chemistry, research, and industry. In parallel with these developments, the demand for qualified technical personnel who can carry out laboratory processes accurately and reliably and who possess strong analytical thinking and practical skills is steadily growing.
As the Laboratory Technology Program of Istanbul Gelisim University Vocational School of Health Services, our aim is to provide our students with the fundamental scientific knowledge required by the profession while offering a strong educational environment in which they can put this knowledge into practice. Our program adopts an educational approach that integrates basic sciences with laboratory applications and is designed to develop competencies in analytical thinking, measurement and evaluation, the use of instruments and equipment, sample preparation, quality, safety, and professional practice.
We place great importance on enabling our students to develop proper, safe, and responsible working practices in laboratory settings; to evaluate scientific data; to strengthen their problem-solving skills; and to adapt to the diverse applications they may encounter in professional life. At the same time, educating individuals who are committed to ethical values, inquisitive, capable of critical thinking, attentive to technological advances, and dedicated to lifelong learning is among our key priorities.
Through an educational approach that brings theoretical knowledge together with practical experience, we aim for our students to graduate as well-equipped professionals who are adaptable, committed to continuous development, and capable of creating value in different areas of employment. We invite all students who are interested in laboratory sciences and eager to learn and develop themselves to join our Laboratory Technology Program, and I wish them every success throughout their educational journey.
