The fungus is usually found in the nail bed, which is under the nail. Many events that damage the nail make it easier for the fungus to enter. For example; hitting the fingernail or toenail with a hard object, nail pressure and traumas, nail cutting from the very bottom, use of pointed shoes that pinch the fingers.

Fungus on nails is contagious. These fungi, which are the source of infection, are open to the common use of the public; changing rooms, swimming pools, communal showers and bathrooms and non-sterilized manicure or pedicure tools and devices can be found on them.

In case of nail fungus formation, the most important application is the mechanical cleaning of the nail. It is necessary to clean only the problematic area painlessly, without damaging the healthy nail part, and repeat this cleaning process every 3-4 weeks. It is also very important to do regular care in the home environment with local solution after mechanical nail cleaning. It is important to explain the factors that cause fungus to the client, to keep the feet absolutely dry, and to dry especially between the toes.
