Health is a discipline that encompasses love, science, and art. The seed of love, which is most deeply rooted in our hearts, is planted in our hearts at birth. Those who nurture and cultivate this seed become successful healthcare professionals. As faculty members of both Istanbul Gelişim University and the Vocational School of Health Services, we serve as your greatest supporters. Our goal is to ensure that you grow into individuals who are open to development and who renew themselves throughout their lives, investing in the future of our country. As the Vocational School of Health Services, an academic unit of our university accredited by YÖKAK in the field of education and training, we strive to train healthcare professionals in line with our mission and vision. The world has started to turn very fast, and waiting where you are will leave you behind. While the integration of artificial intelligence into our lives may seem to simplify things, you must possess the ability to critically evaluate the data provided in that environment. Dear students, the only thing you need to do is to take on the task given to you as a healthcare student with a sense of responsibility, take immediate action to fulfill that task, and have the discipline and training to focus all your energy on completing the task thoroughly.
Our fundamental principle is to prepare you for your profession with up-to-date curricula and information, together with my fellow faculty members. Our University, where you are pursuing your education, is taking strategic steps to advance our internationalization goals with your contributions as well. According to the THE 2026 World University Rankings results announced by Times Higher Education (THE), which is renowned in the global higher education field, Istanbul Gelişim University has maintained its position in the 1001–1200 ranking. Our university ranks 16th in Turkey, 9th among foundation universities, and 2nd in Turkey in the field of Research Quality. Make good use of the opportunities our university offers you in your education and training process (interdisciplinary studies, foreign language support, overseas support, project-patent support, etc.), be sure to include the values you gain here alongside your diploma, be open to development, your competitor is artificial intelligence. And you must learn to use artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity.
Evaluate the individuals you encounter in your life based on their words and actions. Be individuals whose words and actions align, and value those who do the same. Remember the words of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk: “The common duty that falls upon all of us today is to uphold national values, consciousness, and the Republic; to preserve the spirit that won the Battle of Çanakkale and the War of Independence; and to pass this consciousness on to future generations. The Turkish Nation will walk hand in hand toward a bright future with its language, culture, history, and respected identity.” May the light you carry illuminate your path and be eternal.
