Auxiliary devices, called orthoses, are used for the protection of the body posture resulting in various diseases, orthosis for the support and correction of the body parts, and artificial organs called prostheses which can differentiate limbs such as the foot, legs, hands and arms and limbs.
Prescribed prostheses and orthoses by doctors can be produced as standard or specially designed and manufactured for the individual. When it is specially produced, his / her body adaptation and contribution to quality of life are higher.
The aim of the Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics program is to provide a technical, aesthetic, durable, and patient-friendly design that can be used as a prosthetic and orthotic prosthesis for orthopedics and orthotics and can be used as a prosthetic or orthotic prosthesis to train qualified technicians with the knowledge and skills to undertake the responsibilities required by the field.
Students who have completed the Orthopedic Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Associate degree program can transfer to Biomedical Engineering, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Orthopedic and Prosthetic Bachelor Departments if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) organized by ÖSYM.
