Dear Students,
Along with the increase in public awareness about oral and dental health, the number of branch hospitals and clinics serving this area has increased significantly. Along with technological developments and new treatment methods experienced in the field of dentistry, the oral and dental health technician or dentist assistant has become the dentist's greatest assistant during the treatment. In some important operations, dentists sometimes work with more than one assistant. This form of working allows dentists to focus on the treatment of the patient, shortens the duration of the treatment and improves the quality of the treatment.
In the program that oral and dental health technicians are trained to work in hospitals, polyclinics and private clinics where there are dentists, a curriculum covering practical and theoretical education prepared by expert academic staff is followed in accordance with the training aimed at the internationalization goal of Istanbul Gelisim University.
