Technological Advances in Dentistry
Today we live in the digital age of dentistry. We do many transactions with support from the digital world.
The most up-to-date of this is the three-dimensional cameras, which we call the cerek device, where we take tooth measurements. As in the old techniques, we do not prepare the impression dough and measure the teeth. After the tooth preparation is done, we can directly transfer the tooth image to the laboratories with the help of three-dimensional cameras. This gives us advantages in many ways.
As a result of the deformations on the surface of the impression materials, we prevent the mismatch of the tooth to be prepared. We are able to transfer the exact size of the tooth image to the laboratories. We can prevent the mistakes made by the technician as a result of working on the measurement in the laboratory. We have the opportunity to do much more harmonious and error-free works at a micron level. Another plus is that it saves time. While this process used to take an average of 1 week when we took measurements and sent them to the technician, thanks to this technique, it is possible to prepare all teeth in an hour. We can say that dentists and dentistry who do not use the digital world are far behind.
