Dear Students, 

The need for qualified auxiliary healthcare personnel in the healthcare sector is increasing in parallel with the development and expansion of the sector. In anesthesia, prior to surgery, anesthesia is administered so that the patient does not feel pain during the operation, and while all vital functions continue, consciousness is temporarily suppressed.

The aim of the Anesthesia Program is to train auxiliary healthcare professionals, known as “anesthesia technicians,” who assist the anesthesiologist during the anesthesia process, support the healthcare team during surgery, and take part in patient care before, during, and after the operation.

Anesthesia technicians, who assume responsibility for the patient from the moment they are taken into the operating room until they are transferred to the relevant units, are also equipped with knowledge and skills in anesthesia, intensive care, and pain management units. In the Anesthesia Program, where both theoretical and practical courses are delivered by a professional academic staff, our students are trained as healthcare team members who can respond effectively and efficiently in emergency situations.

In this program, the most up-to-date knowledge in the healthcare sector, both in Türkiye and worldwide, is closely followed and conveyed to students. In line with our goal of internationalization, education is provided based on a quality assurance system with international accreditation. In addition to general education courses, students receive professional core courses as well as medical sciences such as anatomy and physiology. Practical courses are conducted in technologically equipped laboratories, and students also undertake the responsibility of working in a critical healthcare environment.

Our graduates from the Vocational School of Health Services, who adhere to ethical principles, continue their careers as successful individuals in the healthcare sector, being aware of their responsibilities, capable of teamwork, equipped with sufficient professional knowledge, and committed to lifelong learning.
