Head of Department Message

Dear Young People,

In parallel with the development and growth of the healthcare sector, the demand for qualified healthcare professionals increases day by day. Anesthesia is a critical medical procedure administered to prevent patients from feeling pain during surgical interventions, safely maintain their vital functions, and ensure the operation proceeds smoothly.

The primary goal of our Anesthesia Program is to train anesthesia technicians who are equipped with the necessary professional knowledge and practical skills, capable of supporting the anesthesiologist and the healthcare team throughout the entire process—from the patient's pre-operative preparation to their safe post-operative monitoring.

Anesthesia technicians take on significant responsibilities from the moment a patient is admitted to the operating room until they are safely transferred to the relevant units. Our program aims to equip students with essential knowledge and skills not only in anesthesia practices but also in areas such as operating rooms, intensive care, emergencies, and pain management. Theoretical and practical courses are conducted by our expert academic staff; we aim for our students to attain the professional competence needed to support the healthcare team swiftly, accurately, and effectively, especially during emergency situations.

Current developments in the healthcare field, both in Turkey and globally, are closely monitored and integrated into our educational processes. In line with our internationalization goals and quality assurance approach, we offer our students a contemporary, scientific, and practice-oriented education. Alongside core vocational courses, our curriculum includes anatomy, physiology, and other basic health sciences; furthermore, our students' professional knowledge and skills are reinforced through practical training in technologically advanced laboratories.

We aim for the graduates of our Vocational School of Health Services to advance in their careers as qualified healthcare professionals who are committed to ethical values, possess a strong sense of responsibility, are well-suited for teamwork, effectively apply their professional knowledge and skills, embrace lifelong learning, and keep up with developments in the healthcare sector.

I wish great success in both their education and careers to all our students who choose to pursue a profession in this vital and highly responsible field of healthcare services.
