One of the branches in the health sector that has been prominent in recent years is oral and dental health. In addition to eliminating the problems in the teeth, especially the need for people to have beautiful teeth as an image has increased the need for specialist technicians in prosthetics. Dental Prosthetics Technology Department was established to fulfill this need.
The aim of the Dental Prosthetics Technology program is to train dental prosthesis technicians, who make the necessary prosthesis in the laboratory environment by applying the latest and advanced technologies during the treatment planned by the dentist for completing the lost teeth as images and re-functionalizing them. The dental prosthesis technician plays an active role in the aesthetic and correct completion of the treatment. Conformity of the prosthesis made to the mouth and jaw structure of the patient is very important in terms of health and aesthetics.
In the Dental Prosthetics Technology Program, which is given the training aimed at the internationalization goal of İstanbul Gelişim University, the students who have mastered the necessary vocational knowledge in all the processes of prosthesis production, have gained the ability to use contemporary technology and are trained technicians with aesthetic point of view.
